Occoneechee Cherokee Sheet Music 1936 Signed and Dedicated

Beautiful cover art. Artist's inscription reads "According to the Cherokee legend, Occoneechee was the daughter of the Cherokee chief, Junaluska. When the Indians were driven from western North Carolina to the Okalhoma territory, she was separated from her lover. After years of wandering in search of each other, they were finally reunited and lived again in their old haunts in their beloved mountains. At death, her brave buried her beneath the laurels and alone and sad he hears her voice calling to him on the evening breezes. Best wishes, Sadie Hutchinson. Oxford Orphanage. Oxford, NC

Music is in very good condition. Spine is nice, very little wear. Cover looks very nice.
